Which system increases job variety by combining two or more jobs or adding tasks to an existing job?

Job enlargement

Expanding what a job includes by mixing tasks from different duties or adding more tasks at the same level aims to increase the variety of work a person does. This approach is called job enlargement. By broadening the scope of a single role, employees face a wider range of activities, which can reduce boredom and boost engagement without changing their level of authority. It’s different from job rotation, which changes who does the job rather than what the job itself contains, and from job enrichment, which adds depth by giving more autonomy and responsibility. Work design is the broader field that encompasses enlargement, rotation, and enrichment.
